Maratón de Nueva York 2023: he aquí los cierres de carreteras, mapa de ruta y más

NUEVA YORK -- Decenas de miles de corredores de maratón volverán a las calles de la ciudad de Nueva York este fin de semana, marcando el regreso de lo que se considera la carrera de 26.2 millas más grande del mundo.

El Maratón TCS de la Ciudad de Nueva York 2023 comienza el domingo por la mañana a las 8 a.m., y se espera que unas 50,000 personas despeguen de Staten Island y recorran el recorrido del maratón a través de los cinco distritos de la ciudad. (Esa mañana también marca el final del horario de verano).

La carrera comienza en el puente Verrazzano-Narrows y termina en Central Park West Drive y 67th Street. Se realizarán importantes cierres de calles, algunos continuos y otros. Vea la lista completa de cierres y el mapa del curso a continuación.

El año pasado, un total de 47,839 personas completaron el maratón. Los New York Road Runners dijeron que el tiempo promedio de carrera fue de 4 horas, 50 minutos y 26 segundos.

Tanto los corredores de maratón como los espectadores disfrutarán de un espectáculo poco común: un fin de semana sin lluvia. La previsión para este fin de semana es el primero sin precipitaciones en ocho fines de semana seguidos. Las temperaturas estarán en los 50 grados al comienzo de la mañana y subirán a los 60 grados por la tarde, con mucho sol brillando a través de las nubes.

Los fanáticos pueden ver la carrera desde casi cualquier lugar a lo largo del recorrido de 26.2 millas, es decir, excepto las primeras millas. El recorrido del maratón está abierto a los espectadores desde la milla 3 hasta la milla 26.
